TRI-MIX Courses
These courses train divers in the use of Tri-Mix (Oxygen, Helium and Nitrogen) as a bottom gas with various Nitrox mixtures as decompression gases. Tri-Mix is a deep diving gas, the addition of Helium reduces the Nitrogen content (less narcosis) and oxygen content (to avoid convulsions).
Cylinder Configuration:- Twin set plus 2 x 7L side mounted deco cylinders. all candidates must have their own twin set.
Cost:- Based on £100 per Tri-Mix dive (includes gas cost) plus any additional dives and expenses.
LEVEL 1 (Entry level TRI-MIX)
This course trains divers in the use of Tri-Mix to 60 metres with an Oxygen content of not less than 18%
Pre-requisite:- Either Advanced Nitrox with Decompression or the Extended Range course plus 100 logged dives, 30 dives deeper than 30 metres.
Course Structure:- Classroom session, exam and 4 to 6 dives (depending on experience), the last 2 are full Tri-Mix
Maximum Depth:- 60 Metres (57 Metres minimum)
Cost:- £375 (Combined extended range and level one Tri-Mix £550)
LEVEL 2
This entry level course trains divers in the use of Tri-Mix to 75 metres with an Oxygen content of not less than 18%
Pre-requisites:- Level 1 Tri-Mix with a minimum of 250 logged dives, 40 dives deeper than 30 metres.
Course Structure:- Minimum of 2 Tri-Mix dives to depths between 60 and 75 Metres.
Maximum Depth:- 75 Metres (72 Metres minimum)
Cost:- £235
LEVEL 3
This course trains divers in the use of Tri-Mix in excess of 75 metres.
Pre-requisites:- Level 2 Tri-Mix with a minimum of 50 dives deeper than 30 metres.
Course Structure:- 2 Tri-Mix dives to depths in excess of 75 Metres.
Maximum Depth:- 100 Metres (80 Metres in the UK)
Cost:- £235
